In December 2018, D.J. was charged with Armed Robbery, in Union Parish, Louisiana. D.J. had no record but was facing 99 years in prison. The State offered D.J. 15 years at hard labor. Unphased, D.J. maintained her innocence and rejected the offer and the case was set for trial. Other offers were made, including an offer to plead guilty t
